Auto Maintenance + Repair A big Success

With 31,860 buyer’s visits (AMR 2008: 30,617 visits), AUTO MAINTENANCE & REPAIR, the 51st China International Trade Fair for Auto Maintenance Technology and Equipment, Auto Parts and Accessories, (AMR for short) which took place Feb. 25-28, 2009 at New China International Exhibition Center (NCIEC), ended with a 2% increase in number of international visitors, accounting to 936 visits. The show space also reached a record high, growing by 13%.

China’s economy is huge and expanding rapidly. In the last 30 years the rate of Chinese economic growth has been almost miraculous, averaging 8% growth in Gross Domestic Product per annum. The economy has grown more than 10 times during that period, with Chinese GDP reaching 3.42 trillion US dollars by 2007. In Purchasing Power Parity GDP, China already has the biggest economy after the United States. Most analysts project China to become the largest economy in the world this century using all measures of GDP. Chinese Economy is considered as the economic wonder of the world. In terms of nominal GDP it is the fourth largest country of the world. People's Republic of China is basically a communist state but have its own characteristics. The economic model followed by them is known as market socialism which has been adopted from the time of Deng Xiaoping.

Considered to be India’s top-most reported International magazine autoASIA, on automotive components, vehicles, had the privilege to participate as an INTERNATIONAL PRESS, duly accredited especially for the AMR 2009 by the organizers. It was the gesture of the organizers viz. TRADE LINKS BEIJING having allotted a booth too, with a view to affording facilities to the Journalists of autoASIA to have on-the-spot evaluation of the expo.

autoASIA’s journalist observed discreetly that more than 32,000 potential buyers of machinery and equipment visited this 51st in serious during all the four days of the event. As gathered from the past records of AMR 2008, there seemed to be increase of 5% in the 2009 event.

From various sources, through the exhibitors observation, it was informed that the show space for 2009 also reached a record high, growing by 14%. With all these reporting on various sources and the booth holders, to Kanwar NS, journalist from India, relating to autoASIA, AMR 2009 is considered to be the largest and most popular showcase in auto-aftermarket after over many years’ of development. Organisers, TRADE LINKS BEIJING has really played an important role in speeding up China’s, Asia, and the whole world too, relating to the important sectors viz. Auto maintenance and repair industry, as well as the auto-aftermarket. Professional visitors populated the fairgrounds consistently during this trade show with high expectations to see many new brands, New Products and technologies.

Expectations were clearly met positive results to the visiting buyers, and even surpassed by. With its rapidly growing influence on the world stage, China’s auto maintenance and repair industry has attracted much attention throughout Asia and the world. Despite the ongoing global recession and the financial crisis, international visitors have showed great purchasing interests in Chinese products. Overseas industry associations and media like French Vehicle Equipment Industries (FIEV) and French Bodywork Federation for PCs and HIV (FFC), AUTOMOTIVE COMPONENTS MANUFACTURERS ASSOCATION OF INDIA, (ACMA), SOCIETY OF INDIAN AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURERS, (SIAM), Australian Bodyshop News, and Car & Tech from Korea, all visited AMR 2009 and discussed cooperative opportunities with Chinese Manufacturing companies who exhibited their products.

AMR 2009 covered the area of approximately 51,000 square meters with products displayed by well-known brands like Balance, Bantam, Beissbarth, Bosch, BG, Car-o-Liner, Che-Rafe, DANAHER, DGS, Ever-Eternal, G&P, Guangda, Jingbenteng, Jinhua, Launch, MAHA, Midtronics, Rotary Lift, SPX,Toyota Tsusho, Wedgeclamp, YATO, Yingzhiyin, Zonda, etc.

As a tradeshow platform with a clear focus on benefitting the auto maintenance and repair equipment and tools manufacturers, auto accessory producers, distributors, repair shops, diagnostic stations, etc, AMR 2009 offered a diverse program of side events, featuring forums, seminars and new products releases.

Organized by China Auto Maintenance Equipment Industry Association (CAMEIA),and Beijing Traders-Link International Exhibition Co., Ltd., Forum on Global Auto-Aftermarket 2009 provided a platform for the leading local enterprises of Zonda, Bantam, Tongrun, Jinhua and overseas industry associations and media to share the recent trend in their represented area and discuss development strategies to prepare against the worldwide economic down turn. Exhibitors, trade media, and associations who gathered at AMR 09 stage, spoke highly of the expo sharing their views that witnessed the rapid growth and development of auto maintenance and repair industry in China and Asia-Pacific, Asia and the world region. Made-in-China products were much acclaimed.

Having regard to what has been brought above, it is expected that the AUTO MAINTENANCE & REPAIR 2010, shall prove more successful to the prospective potential buyers. The 2010 China International Trade Fair for Auto Maintenance Technology and Equipment, Auto Parts and Accessories, the venue of which shall be the China National Convention Center is slated from March 18 to 21. CNCC is located at the heart of Olympic Green, right next to the Bird Nest (China National Stadium) and Water Cube (National Aquatics Center).
